What people say

We’ve worked with Laura on a range of different projects and she’s always incredibly professional, brilliantly organised and super fun to work with. From pedagogical input to research to voiceover work, she brings high standards, new approaches and a rigour we all appreciate.

-Jo Sayers, Director, Head of Product, ELTjam

It was a fantastic experience working with Laura on producing a research guide for Cambridge University Press. Laura was very sensitive to the needs of teachers and material designers and served as a great bridge between theory and practice. Her expert comments and very constructive feedback on my research summaries resulted in a great end-product. It is rare to find someone as knowledgeable as Laura about language teaching and research findings in a wide range of areas of ELT.  The co-operation I had with Laura was an excellent example of how academics and educational stakeholders could work together to foster evidence-based language teaching.

I always look forward to working with Laura. She’s very quick and efficient at pulling together information from a wide range of sources and presenting it in a palatable way for editors to read and act on. She engages with the brief early on and makes sure that she thinks not only about a project from a publishing viewpoint, but from the teacher and learner perspectives too, combining all of this with her own experience and knowledge to provide great insights that make a difference to the products we’re working on.

Precise, highly-communicative, punctual, witty, attentive, engaging, thought-provoking, dynamic. The list could continue. I would definitely recommend Laura because I truly enjoyed every minute during my TESL course in London: every lesson was accurately prepared and delivered with a perfect pace. Her linguistic in-depth knowledge, combined with her spontaneous sense of humour and an interactive approach to educational provision make her an amazing professional to work with.

– Mauro De Giorgi, Artist, and former teacher trainee of Laura’s

Laura reviewed two levels of pronunciation sections for our new American English course. I was very impressed with the depth of her knowledge on the subject, and with her ability to explain and demonstrate often tricky concepts in a way that is easy for others (in particular teachers and students) to follow. Her enthusiasm for pronunciation is infectious! Laura is fantastic to work with, and I would happily work with her again on similar projects.

As a freelance writer, I worked with (or for) Laura on a number of different projects during her time at Cambridge University Press. Her knowledge, efficiency and professionalism couldn’t be faulted. I hope we work together again before too long.
