Hi. I’m Laura. I’m an ELT research manager, linguist, language learner, and former teacher and teacher trainer. I like sharing ideas for teaching and learning language.
My interest in language(s) started at a very young age. It followed me into adulthood, and over the years I’ve worked my way through a BA in Linguistics, CELTA and Delta, and an MA in ELT & Applied Linguistics.
Now, outside my normal job, I write the odd article, attend and present at conferences and seminars around Europe, and I co-author this blog on teaching pronunciation for English as a Lingua Franca. I’m also a committee member of the IATEFL Pronunciation Special Interest Group and editor of its newsletter, Speak Out!.
