About & contact

LP_2016_crop3.jpgHi. I’m Laura. Over the years, I’ve worked as a teacher, teacher trainer and most recently as an ELT research manager for a major publisher. I’m also an avid language learner. I hold a BA in Linguistics, CELTA and Delta, and an MA in ELT & Applied Linguistics.

In addition to writing about language learning, I attend and present at conferences and seminars around the world (see ‘Presentations and Publications’), and I co-author this blog on teaching pronunciation for English as a Lingua Franca. I’m also a committee member of the IATEFL Pronunciation Special Interest Group and sub-editor of its journal, Speak Out!.
